MPP is the resource I wish I had when I went to art school.
My Practice Playbook offers essential career development tools to artists with barriers to commercial literacy and, ultimately, experience a blindsiding of their sense of self.
It all started when our founder, Dr. Erika Wong — an installation artist herself — was confronted with the many obstacles presented by the institutionalised art world. She realised there was a glaring gap in the ability of art school grads to access and work in the arts sector post-graduation.
Erika developed MPP to help artists and creatives gain access to and purposefully participate in the arts and culture industry.
MPP is for creatives who want to feel more valued by the industry — but don’t know where to begin. We believe art and commerce can actually co-exist, but the first step is giving artists a leg up and providing them with the inside knowledge and practical skills they may not get at art school.
The MPP community includes social media, the Frequent Arts Questions and Hyde or Practice podcasts, research-backed quizzes, and an online course stacked with actionable insights for artists to build a practical 12-month studio plan.
Let’s get started.
